Club Reviews: Secretsundaze @ La Terraza - Sonar |
|
|

Now in its sixteenth year, Sonar’s become one of the best-loved
festivals on the continent, and in recent times the middle weekend in
June has attracted a host of Djs and producers to Barcelona to soak up
the atmosphere and bask in its reflected glory. With so many
‘off-Sonar’ nights now peppering the weekend, there’s fierce
competition, and Sunday’s traditional beach parties were a focus of
many of these, a chance to let the hair down after a weekend of hard
networking and partying.

Club Reviews: Below Birmingham |
|
|

For the uninitiated Below is a daytime party in Birmingham that is held at The Rainbow, a charming Victorian boozer that just oozes character. The venue boasts an inimitable courtyard; an alfresco urban space decorated with tropical trees and sparse lighting set against a backdrop of graffiti and industrialism that attracts party goers far and wide.

Club Reviews: Mulletover 5th Birthday |
|
|

London clubbing’s been well versed in the DIY aesthetic for over two
decades, since the early days of rave in the arches and warehouses. In
the modern day scene that sprawls north and south of the river there
are none better than Mulletover.

The story of Ketoloco is quite an interesting one, starting in the
basement of their student house, dubbed DC-15 after the imfamous DC10
club in Ibiza, the several young students have since built their own
clubbing brand at first playing back rooms at more established nights
such as back to basics, and now playing up and down the country and
even in Ibiza, last summer hosting the Zoo project.

Club Reviews: Digital Society 2nd Birthday |
|
|

February 2007 was a generally nondescript month in the greater scheme
of things. It was the month when Britney had her "episode" and shaved
her head in front of a bewildered paparazzi, Jose Mouriniho was still
manager of then-league champions Chelsea, and in case you missed it,
the UK`s finest new trance night opened its` doors to 150 hardcore
clubbers for the first time at a small venue in Leeds.

Club Reviews: Loco Dice @ The Mint club |
|
|

It was one of those nights where everything just worked. The crowd, the
club, the visuals and most importantly the music just all came together
to create arguably one of the best nights Leeds has seen for many, many
years.
