Electric Elephant 2011 preview

The hit boutique festival is not just a festival on the Croatian Adriatic Coast, but it is also a holiday by day. Petrcane itself is a village offering evening markets and rustic restaurants serving fresh fish caught daily and local olives. The people in Petrcane are friendly and very hospitable and the village caters well for the festival goers needs. There are plenty of apartments and cottages to stay in, as well as the festival offering camping.

The ancient city of Zadar is only a short bus or taxi ride away. Zadar has a unique sea organ and is a bustling city with small winding streets and large open squares.

The Electric Elephant 2011 line-up has taken shape, and this intamite festival has a stellar line-up. Heading an unbeatable DJ line-up is Chicago’s house legend Derrick Carter. He’s joined by Detroit hotshot Kyle Hall, Bok Bok head honcho one of the UK’s hottest labels Night Slugs, party starters The Glimmers & Horse Meat Disco plus underground house hero Luke Solomon and hosts The Unabombers.

Other dj’s include Andrew Weatherall, Seth Johnson, Toddla T, 20:20 Vision’s Ralph Lawson, Mosca and Zed Bias to the bulging DJ roster. Representing Electric Elephant’s Mancunian roots are The Warehouse Project’s Krysko and Tramp’s Will TRAMP!, while Dom Servini (Wah Wah 45′s) Nathan Gregory Wilkins (History Clock) Capracara (DFA/Soul Jazz) and Fabrizio (Clap Rules) complete the DJ line-up as it stands, with many more to be added soon.
